BLIND RIVETS

In this page, we are introduced you all with the information of blind rivets. There are many types of blind rivets. For your information, although these type of rivets are not commonly used in the commercial aircraft, but they can be found on the amateur type of aircraft.

  4. Pop Rivet

POP RIVETS

  • Used in many commercial devices where speed of installation is vital.
  • Not used for structural applications in certificated aircraft, however are used in many applications for amateur-built aircraft.


RIVNUTS

  1. Trade name of hollow, blind rivets for secondary structures.
  2. One piece, internally threaded rivet which can be used as blind nut plates, blind rivets or as a combination of both.
  3. Normally used to attach brackets, trim materials, and lightly loaded fittings after the assembly has been completed.
  4. Two head types each with 2 ends the flat head with open or closed end and the Countersunk head with open or closed end.
